Description
The CTEK Multi XS-7000 12V Battery Charger is a fully automatic, 8 step charger which will analyse, fix and charge Wet, MF, GEL and AGM lead-acid batteries from 14Ah to 150Ah batteries and maintain batteries up to 225Ah. The supply mode provides a vehicle with power without the battery, a vital function when changing batteries in order not to lose settings & codes of electronic equipment.
Once switched to the mode you require there are no settings to make, XS 7000 is suitable for charging 12V vehicle batteries including cars, boats, agricultural machinery, caravans and RV’s. The charger can also be left connected for months and is splash & dust proof (IP65).
The CTEK Multi XS-7000 12V Battery Charger is ideal for use in leisure applications and for batteries which are continually discharged, The charger adapts the charge to suit the battery and switches to pulse maintenance charging when the battery is fully charged. The MULTI XS 7000 can also be used as a power-supply unit for operating equipment that requires 13.6V and a maximum of 7A. These chargers are also offered to Bentley and Maybach customers, by the prestigious car makers.

Normal setting for wet batteries, MF and for most Gel batteries.
14.7V
This setting is recommended for charging batteries at temperatures lower than -5 degrees C. It is also suitable for many AGM batteries.
13.6V/SUPPLY
In this mode, the charger delivers a constant voltage of 13.6V. This is the best maintenance mode for applications where maximum capacity from the battery is important.
The MULTI XS 7000 can also be used as a power supply without a battery attached in this mode. No counter voltage is necessary to start the charger in this mode.
Note that the spark free function is suppressed in this mode, the reverse polarity protection works but there is no indication.
16V/RECOND
This mode is used to recover severely discharged batteries where you might expect stratified acid (high acid weight at the bottom, low on top). Note that the battery has to be fully charged first.
Use this mode with care, as the high voltage may cause some water loss. 16V is normally no problem for electronics in 12V systems, although maximum effect and minimum risk for electronics is achieved by disconnecting the battery.
